Partnering to Meet the Demands of the Market
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Clifton Park in New York's Tech Valley, 6N Systems (6N) provides a fully integrated suite of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and financial software for the long term care market. These products and services help physicians and medical organization streamline workflow and increase accuracy in patient care.
After a gre
at website redesign in early 2008, new technology forced the electronic medical records market to evolve and along with it the markets’ websites transitioned too. Technology, internet tools, and strategic marketing had advanced so rapidly in two years, that 6N decided they were in need of a new look and an easier way to update their web content. Much of this decision came in the wake of yet another series of improvement to their suite of products.
Anticipating changes in the marketplace and a new set of client demands, 6N decided they wanted to upgrade the entire site from navigation to content. 6N exercised due diligence in their search for the right web development partner to shepherd 6N through the project.
After investigating a handful of companies, the decision came down to:
• Working with a local company
• Investigating the website and portfolio of the prospective web designer and web developers
• Achieving fair price point
• Having a fully hosted CMS solution that was familiar or user-friendly
Meeting all of the criteria, Web Instinct became the clear choice and new 6N web development partner.
Traci Jersen, Vice President, Marketing reported, “Throughout the decision-making process, our evaluation team took the time to review the websites of each candidate as well as each of the sites in their portfolio. In the end, we identified with and were most impressed with Web Instinct’s portfolio and corporate site.”
Web Instinct immediately introduced and began building the new 6N website using the Concrete5 content management system.
“We were tasked with redesigning the entire website from the ground up while maintaining the brand identity that 6N had established in the market” remarked Dave Shacket, founder of Web Instinct. “As an official Concrete5 Pro developer, our team felt certain we could get this site turned around and back in the hands of 6N in short order.”
The entire project came together very quickly and 6N was thrilled with how easy it was to make changes and updates to the website. While the CMS system that 6N was previously using only allowed users to use static templates with a limited ability to add content, Concrete5 allowed 6N to retool and architect their site with greater control and a ton of flexibility.
“The healthcare market changes daily; Concrete5 has improved 6N’s ability to share the most up-to-date relevant information to healthcare providers while supplying them with technology to improve long term care,” said Jersen. “The one-on-one training Web Instinct provided was extremely comprehensive. I also appreciate working with a local business, if I ever have a concern or question I would place a call to Web Instinct and I would receive assistance in a matter of minutes.”
Concrete5 equipped 6N with the dynamic features they required at the right price. The newly redesigned website offers easy access to products by discipline and service, a secure customer login, intuitive navigation, all wrapped in a new modern design.
Chief Operating Officer Darcy Baldwin stated, “Our website is just another extension of our commitment to using the latest technology to improve communication, reduce errors, and make it easier for large organizations and physicians to deliver better healthcare to patients.”
Further, 6N’s new website promises to offer their clients a better way to explore the benefits of EMR as well as provide more user-friendly features and resources to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.
